Our boy Rooks McCoy dropped a new video this morning with D-Smoke.
Military Minds is an organization spreading awareness about PTSD, and works hard to get Veterans back on their feet after they return from deployment.
“I opened Military Minds in May of 2011 to provide help for Veterans having a hard time getting employment. Soon after, I connected with Chris Ecklund of Canadian Heroes to exchange ideas for more fundraising initiatives. This was the birth of our charitable intentions. Within a few short months we held fundraising events such as the Bikini/Soldier Car Wash in the name of Canadian Heroes. We also pulled off another event where we had Julian Austin come out to sing for us and put on an awesome concert in Novemver 2011.We raised a lot of money for our fellow troops and had a great time.
With the attention and support we were getting for these events we decided to take it a step further, we realized that we now have a voice and people may listen. I decided to take my experience with PTSD and put it forward and try and raise awareness. The development of our new website will allow visitors a unique insight into the lives of soldiers with PTSD. My hope is to raise funds through sales of Military Minds apparel as well as donations to help those who have selflessly served our country.
