Starts Again

Starts Again

Starts Again began in the minds of Dylan Burnett and Billy Arundell in 2007, and it wasn’t originally called Starts Again, it was called I Hate Spacecamp (not kidding.)

After a few months of getting used to playing in a band, Dylan Burnett, Billy Arundell and a friend of theirs on guitar finally got an understanding of what it meant to play in a band, and after some SERIOUS BUSINESS, Conor Gray was added to the band, 12 years young. Please disregard the following year or so, as they consisted of nothing but blink 182 covers and line-up changes. However once Kris Weber joined the band and Bill traded up his bass for a guitar, I.H.S.C. was really coming together, playing more shows, writing original songs…and then writing good original songs, everything was falling into place.

I.H.S.C. found moderate local popularity, they were happy but something was missing. Their song writing began to go through noticeable phases that made things come off as not-as-tight-as-they-could-be, also they felt like the underdogs in the pop-punk game.

It was time for a change, things weren’t working out, and their lack of motivation drove I.H.S.C. to care less and less onstage. So they did what they do best. Moved shit around. With the breakup of Conor’s more pop than punk side project Feel Good Story, guitarist Mat Macdonald joined the crew, Billy dropping his guitar to really show off his moves onstage with just a mic in hand. By this point, they had made so many changes; improvements as they like to call them, that they no longer felt like the same band. I.H.S.C. was no more, and the boys decided to start again…you see where this is going.

With a unique blend of the 5 boy’s different tastes in various punk subgenres being a huge part of their influence, their song writing became tighter and more distinct, so did their stage presence.

After being in and out of the studio for the last few months, their EP titled Dillinger is out and available for free at www.startsagain.bandcamp.com and the boys are proud. With big tingz in mind for the future, SA is as excited as ever, and hopes to get on the road as soon as they can!
