Somewhere between his performances and everyday life, Crooked Fingaz, aka Rooks McCoy finds the time to produce beats, lyrics and videos for his many fans and friends. A self-taught musician, he based his first album The Clouded Mind LP on his early trials and tribulations. Growing-up things that we all go through. Events that build strength. Events that break you down. Beat or be beaten. His sound is honest and his lyrics have meaning.

Following the success of his first album release, Rooks has 2 follow-up releases. THE PURPLE HAZE LP which contains cleverly crafted beats, soul-searching lyrics and more of his own hand-crafted videos. In the process, he collaborated with many other artists and soon dropped AFFILIATED FELLONS DB4D a 20-track CD. On April 15, 2011, he released his first commercial single on iTunes “It’s Going Down” featuring Peter Jackson and Sean Divine. He has written, produced and web-published numerous other singles and videos, and has just dropped his 5th cd BACK 2 THE FUTURE featuring more of his unique lyrical styling and beats which can be found on his website: CrookedFingaz.com.

In a crowd, he calmly blends in. Keeps to himself. Humble. Level-headed. But he shines on stage. Like a chameleon, he changes with his environment, transforms himself into the music, feeding off the lyrics and chanting crowd. His performances are fun and have earned him the recognition and respect of several other well-known MC’s and performers like Joe Buddens, Kurupt, Gangis Kahn, Mayhem Morearty, Choclair and Peter Jackson.
